Mechanic/Production Technician

REPORTS TO

Shop Supervisor Mechanics or Shop Supervisor Production Laborers (as assigned)

MAJOR FUNCTION

Performs a variety of Shop functions including machine mechanics and production labor as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tests equipment electrically and verifies it will function correctlyStrips machines for electricalServices, repairs and maintains shop toolsPerforms machining and weldingReconditions process, plastics and centrifugal equipmentMakes crates and skids when neededKeeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High School GraduateExtensive electrical skills3-4 years general shop experience including warehouse equipment, forklifts and cranesAbility to use warehouse tools, lathes, drill presses, gas torches, etc. with proper safety techniquesAbility to read general information and follow directionsMechanically inclined
