Job Description

Berman Star Nissan is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Experienced Technician to join our dynamic and growing service team!
Location:
Berman Star Nissan -
Niles, IL Pay Scale:
$20.50 - $47.50/HR (Based on Experience, ASE Certifications, and/or Training)
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Work on complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and suspension work. Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors. Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are performed according to Nissan brand standards and procedures. Participate in ongoing training programs to continue advancing technical skills and obtain higher Nissan certifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and standards. Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Automotive Parts & Vehicle Purchasing Discounts Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair setting required. ASE Certifications Enthusiasm for learning and hands-on technical work is essential. Understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, brakes). Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, and take direction from senior technicians. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to learn and improve problem-solving techniques. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors, sometimes in noisy environments).
