[Days/Hours] + overtime as needed (may require after hours or Saturday work) Join the Rock N Dirt Team Rock N Dirt is looking for skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy construction equipment, trucks, and related machinery. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving mechanical problems, and understands how important reliable equipment and trucks are to keeping our jobs moving. This isn't strictly a shop position. Our mechanic must be comfortable working both in the shop and at active job sites, diagnosing problems and getting equipment and trucks safely back to work. What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and company vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine problems
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on trucks and heavy equipment
• Perform oil changes, fluid services, filter changes, and scheduled maintenance
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and drivetrain components
• Troubleshoot equipment and truck failures using diagnostic tools and software
• Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs at active job sites
• Respond to equipment and truck breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary
• Inspect trucks and equipment for safety concerns and needed repairs
• Operate heavy equipment and trucks as necessary for diagnostic and repair purposes
• Maintain service vehicles, tools, and shop equipment
• Keep the shop, service vehicle, and work areas clean and organized
• Complete work orders and accurately document repairs, parts, materials, and time
• Communicate equipment concerns and recommend repairs to management
• Follow all company, DOT-related, and job-site safety procedures applicable to the work being performed Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
• 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, diesel trucks, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and diesel-powered equipment
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain systems
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience using diagnostic tools and software
• Ability to perform field diagnostics and repairs with minimal downtime
• Ability and willingness to work at active construction/job sites
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and job-site conditions
• Ability to safely operate trucks and heavy equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field
• Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship
• Dependable and able to manage multiple repair priorities
• Ability to maintain tools, service vehicles, and equipment
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CDL B is required CDL A would be a added bonus
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
• Diesel, truck, or heavy-equipment certifications are a plus What We're Looking For At Rock N Dirt, skill matters, but so does attitude.

• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Bend, kneel, climb, stand, and work around trucks and heavy equipment
• Work indoors and outdoors
• Work in changing weather and job-site conditions
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment
