Overview Join our dynamic automotive repair team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles, including light-duty cars and heavy-duty trucks, utilizing your mechanical skills to keep our customers safely on the road. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be vital in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles operate at peak performance. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electronic issues. Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines , transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Service vehicle components such as tires (tire service), oil changes, auto body repairs, and auto estimating to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Repair and maintain heavy equipment mechanics and automotive electrical systems for diverse vehicle types including GM vehicles. Follow dealership or industry-standard procedures for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and auto electrical diagnostics. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating reports accurately, and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and timelines. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership settings preferred. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics reading. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignment procedures, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, and oil change services. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems repair including auto electrical systems. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy-duty mechanical tools safely and effectively. Certifications or experience in heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is a plus but not required.
