Job Description

The Lowry Law Firm is seeking a dependable, organized, personable and focused candidate to join our team. We are looking for someone who is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment. We have one position available and are open to hiring for either an Administrative Assistant or Receptionist role, depending on the candidate's experience and strengths. The position is full-time at our Hillsboro location with competitive pay and attractive benefits package.
Receptionist Objective:
Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, as well as additional clerical duties.
Administrative Assistant Objective:
This position will primarily assist with divorce and other domestic relations cases, working closely with an attorney and clients to help ensure cases move forward efficiently and deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
  • provide support to attorney, staff and clients
  • assist files from intake through resolution
  • prepare, organize, scan, file and maintain legal documents and correspondence
  • communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsels and other parties
  • schedule appointments, meetings and court-related matters
  • maintain accurate calendars and monitor important deadlines
  • maintain information in the firm's case-management system
  • handle incoming phone calls, emails and client communications
  • assist with gathering and organizing information and documentation from clients
  • maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and case information
  • perform general office and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • previous administrative, legal or office experience preferred
  • strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • profession and compassionate approach when working with clients
  • ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • comfortable working independently while also being part of a team
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
