Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy upscale automotive service team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your energetic approach and expert knowledge will ensure customers receive exceptional service, accurate estimates, and clear communication throughout their automotive service experience. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and accurately identify their vehicle needs. Explain repair recommendations clearly and confidently, utilizing estimating software and mechanical knowledge. Write detailed service orders and estimates, ensuring all necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs are documented precisely. Upsell additional services that enhance vehicle safety and performance while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services. Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair status, costs, and completion times. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of all service sales. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems to assess repair needs thoroughly. Maintain a high level of customer service by following up post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty. Stay current with dealership policies, automotive repair procedures, and industry best practices to provide expert guidance. Qualifications Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a repair facility environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs (including transmissions, brakes, suspension), and vehicle maintenance procedures. is a plus but not required. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Demonstrated ability in upselling services ethically while maintaining customer trust. Experience working with service technicians on repairs such as oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts, collision repairs, etc. Valid driver's license with a reasonably clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles confidently. Knowledge of auto estimating processes along with sales skills to promote additional services effectively. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
