Job Description

Job Overview Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical systems. Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled services. Perform brake, suspension, steering, cooling, A/C, exhaust, and drivetrain repairs. Diagnose check-engine lights and other warning systems. Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems. Perform inspections and recommend necessary repairs. Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and shop standards. Verify repairs through road tests and quality-control inspections. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations. Communicate effectively with service advisors and other technicians. Complete assigned work in a timely and professional manner. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality automotive service. Candidates should have a strong understanding of modern vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts. ASE certification, manufacturer training, diagnostic experience, and previous professional automotive repair experience are all a plus. Salary Range:

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to use diagnostic scanners and standard automotive tools. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Valid driver's license. ASE certification is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and appropriate testing procedures. Perform brake, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and engine repairs. Perform oil changes, fluid services, tune-ups, and other preventive maintenance. Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs or potential safety concerns. Accurately document vehicle conditions, repairs performed, and parts used. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Follow manufacturer specifications and recommended repair procedures. Use shop equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand/power tools safely and properly. Perform quality-control inspections after completing repairs. Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly and professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all shop safety procedures and company policies. Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a professional attitude. Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred.
