Double J Trailers is looking for an experienced, mechanically minded RV / Living Quarters Technician to join our Albany service team. Our shop works on horse trailers, living quarters (LQ) trailers, and related RV-style systems. This is a hands-on troubleshooting and repair position where the work changes from day to day. You won't be standing on an assembly line doing the same task over and over. We're looking for someone who can diagnose problems, figure out the right repair, and take pride in doing the job correctly. Horse trailer experience is a plus, but it isn't required. Experience as an RV technician or in automotive, marine, equipment repair, fabrication, construction, maintenance, or another hands-on repair trade may translate well to this position. What You'll Work On Depending on your experience, work may include: Diagnosing and repairing 12V and 110V electrical systems Plumbing, water systems, tanks, pumps, fixtures, and water heaters RV and living quarters appliances and components Heating, cooling, and ventilation systems Interior repairs including cabinetry, walls, flooring, doors, and trim Trailer lighting and wiring Brakes, suspension, bearings, and general trailer service Trailer body and structural repairs Pre-delivery inspections Diagnosing and repairing customer concerns Installing or replacing trailer and living quarters components What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience Is comfortable diagnosing problems rather than simply replacing parts Can work independently and follow a repair through to completion Pays attention to detail and takes pride in quality workmanship Is dependable and shows up ready to work Can communicate effectively with the service team Is willing to learn horse trailer and living quarters systems Can safely use common hand and power tools Experience That May Be a Good Fit Experience in any of the following is valuable: RV service and repair Horse or utility trailer repair Automotive repair Marine service Equipment or machinery repair Electrical or plumbing work Carpentry or construction Fabrication General maintenance and troubleshooting RV technician certification is a plus, but practical experience and the ability to troubleshoot and repair are more important to us than a certificate alone. Pay:
