Job Description

Northampton, PA | Monday-Friday | No Weekends | No Flat-Rate I know no one reads any of these ads so I am just going to vent and write whatever I want. I was looking to hire a re cruiter to post the same lame boring ad as everyone else would but it would cost me $5k, which to me is crazy to just answer some ads and ask a few questions. I would rather see a deserving tech get the $5k instead of a company that is probably having a computer talk to you. Bonus payout will look like this, $500 on the first week, $1500 after 90 days, $1500 after 6 months, and the last $1500 after 9 months. No BS. I am a one person shop and have been for years. I like it that way but I have been acquiring too many new customers and can no longer keep up and need help. I have spent the last year trying to find a tech that is competent. This is not a career that you can fake it until you make it. If you say you can do the work, it will be very clear very fast if you're capable or not. I worked at dealers and disliked it, which is why I run my shop the complete opposite of them. I actually care about the work I put out and my customers. If you're just looking for a job and don't care about anything but a paycheck then this is not the shop for you. I have been burned over enough at dealers. The shop is also getting A/C at the end of August. I am not looking to hire the fastest best tech out there. I need solid B tech. Someone that doesn't need their hand held all day long, I am not running a day care. I will let you know all my expectations before you start, if you don't agree with them that is fine, don't take the job. I want someone that has some pride and respect in themselves and the work they do. Attention to small details, can work clean, self motivated and a desire to succeed. OK back to the same script every other posting has. Tired of dealership politics and flat-rate hustle? Looking for a clean, steady, drama-free environment where good technicians are respected and supported? We're a well-established 3-bay independent shop in Northampton, PA (Lehigh Valley) serving a loyal customer base that values quality workmanship, honesty, and long-term relationships. Techs here aren't treated like a number — you're part of the team and your voice matters. What We Offer No weekends, no late nights — EVER Monday-Friday schedule so you can actually live your life 4 day work week optional Monday thru Thursday Competitive pay based on skill level & efficiency (not flat rate abuse) Guaranteed base pay with productivity bonuses Weekly pay with direct deposit Steady, year-round workflow Small-team culture — no corporate nonsense, no micromanaging Clean shop, modern tools & tech Hunter tire & alignment equipment Tekmetric, Prodemand, Alldata and Identifix already in place Paid Holidays Paid time off & Sick time Health benefits (ie. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us , stick around long-term, and be part of a team that actually values craftsmanship and professionalism — not rushing cars through for flat-rate numbers.
