Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Commercial Transmission Technician, preferable Ford Certified to join our team! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty commercial vehicle transmissions and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our customers fleet operates smoothly and efficiently, providing top-tier service to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive technologies in a fast-paced setting. Duties Diagnose complex transmission issues in commercial vehicles using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools Repair and overhaul transmissions, including powertrain components and mechanical systems repair Perform diesel engine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles Conduct vehicle inspections such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems to complete repairs accurately Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality customer service Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment mechanics or automotive repair industry background preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive suspension systems, air brake systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), and auto electrical systems a plus. Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to read schematics effectively Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, powertrain components, and mechanical systems repair Experience working with Ford, Gm and Dodge trucks or similar makes is a plus Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment.
