Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Commercial Truck Technician to join our team We would like the right candidate to become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on a wide range of vehicles including some diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Your expertise will ensure our customers fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting the success of our transportation operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled mechanics passionate about automotive repairs from cars to heavy duty trucks. • Willing to train the right candidate! Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components of commercial trucks and heavy equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and equipment inspections to maximize vehicle uptime. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate or modify parts using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair needs or improve vehicle performance. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist in the assembly or disassembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy trucks preferred but not required. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, brakes (including air brake systems), and electrical systems preferred Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools; familiarity with automotive electrical system repair is essential. Experience operating power tools, welding equipment, heavy lifting devices such as hoists or cranes, and other specialized tools for equipment repair. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering is a plus!. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to communicating repair needs or issues clearly to clients or team members. Valid certification in diesel mechanics or heavy truck repair preferred but not required. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy parts or equipment safely; willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
