Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Service Technician - State Inspector to join our dynamic automotive team. Duties Conduct thorough vehicle inspections according to state guidelines, including safety checks, emissions testing, and mechanical assessments. Perform automotive tire changes, wheel alignments, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to diagnose issues and execute repairs on mechanical and electrical systems. Repair or replace automotive parts and accessories, ensuring proper fitment and functionality. Document inspection results, repair procedures, and auto estimating details accurately for customer records and reporting purposes. Assist customers by explaining inspection findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance options with clear communication. Support auto body repair or restoration projects when needed, including heavy lifting and detailed mechanical work. Requirements Proven experience as a mechanic or in automotive repair with a strong understanding of vehicle systems. Mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, auto body repair, and auto restoration. Hands-on experience with standard passenger car operation and vehicle maintenance procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories along with auto estimating skills for repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Physical ability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; mechanic experience is highly valued.
