About RV Depot RV Depot is a family-owned and operated RV dealership that has been serving Texas families since 1990. We operate a busy dealership with a large inventory of travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and motorhomes, along with a dedicated service department. We are looking for a dependable RV Shop Helper / Service Assistant to join our team and support the technicians and dealership operations. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying active, learning new skills, and being part of a team. No previous RV experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. Job Responsibilities The Shop Helper will assist with general tasks throughout the RV service and dealership areas, including: Assist RV technicians with basic shop and maintenance tasks. Move, stage, and organize RVs, parts, tools, and materials around the dealership. Help prepare RVs for service, inspection, delivery, and customer pickup. Clean and organize work areas, service bays, tools, and equipment. Wash, clean, and perform basic detailing of RV interiors and exteriors as needed. Assist with removing and installing basic RV components under technician direction. Help with basic tasks such as caulking, sealing, hardware installation, battery installation, and other light-duty work. Assist technicians with loading, unloading, carrying, and positioning materials. Pick up and dispose of trash, debris, packaging, and used materials. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop and lot. Perform basic lot maintenance and general dealership tasks as assigned. Follow instructions from technicians, managers, and other dealership personnel. Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Learn basic RV systems and service procedures through hands-on experience. Perform other general labor and shop-support duties as needed. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Dependable and punctual. Comfortable working with their hands. Willing to learn new skills. Able to follow directions and work well with a team. Comfortable working outside in Texas weather when needed. Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing a job correctly. Able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment. Comfortable working around tools, ladders, power equipment, and RVs. Able to maintain a clean and organized work area. A positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Previous experience is helpful but not required. Experience in automotive repair, construction, maintenance, landscaping, remodeling, RVs, or general labor is a plus. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. The employee should be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in various positions. Safely climb and work from ladders when required. Work both indoors and outdoors. Work around dust, dirt, heat, tools, and normal dealership/service-shop conditions. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Saturday schedule with one weekday off. Typical service-department hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Pay $14.00-$17.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with relevant automotive, RV, construction, mechanical, maintenance, or dealership experience may qualify for higher starting pay. Why Work at RV Depot?
