The service department supports customers by maintaining and repairing vehicles with attention to safety, quality, and clear communication. This is an entry-level-friendly opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to build automotive skills, and takes pride in completing maintenance services accurately. Previous lube or quick-service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. About the role As an Automotive Lube Technician, you will perform routine maintenance and basic vehicle inspections while supporting the service department's daily workflow. You will follow manufacturer and dealership procedures, document your work, communicate findings to the Service Advisor, and help ensure every vehicle receives safe and thorough service. Job type Full-time Schedule Mon-Fri 7:00-5:30 Sat 8-1:00 Pay $15.00-$18:00 per hour Work requirements Prior lube technician, quick-service, or automotive maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and driving record that meet dealership requirements. Ability to work safely in a service shop environment and follow established procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hands-on work for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. What you'll do Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance services according to manufacturer and dealership standards. Inspect tires, brakes, belts, hoses, lights, fluids, and other vehicle components as directed. Complete multi-point inspections and document findings accurately on each repair order. Communicate maintenance recommendations and additional concerns to the Service Advisor. Rotate and check tires, set tire pressures, and assist with basic tire-related services as needed. Use shop tools and equipment safely and correctly. Keep service bays, tools, equipment, and customer vehicles clean and protected. Follow procedures for the safe handling and disposal of used fluids, filters, and other shop materials. Support Service Technicians and the service team with vehicle preparation and other assigned duties. Follow dealership safety procedures and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Participate in training and continue building knowledge of Ford vehicles, maintenance procedures, and service equipment. What you'll bring Interest in automotive maintenance and a willingness to learn. Basic mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience working with vehicles is helpful. Attention to detail and a commitment to completing work correctly. Ability to read and follow repair orders, checklists, service information, and safety procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, managers, and technicians. Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
