Trailer Source is looking for a skilled Custom Trailer Fabricator & Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform custom fabrication, structural modifications, and full-service repairs on a wide variety of trailers (utility, cargo, equipment, and livestock). If you are a strong welder who takes pride in clean metalwork, precise diagnostics, and reliable builds, this position offers consistent shop work with competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Welding:

Cut, bend, fit, and weld steel and aluminum components for custom builds, frame repairs, and structural modifications using MIG and TIG processes.

Mechanical & Electrical Repair:

Diagnose and repair electrical wiring, brake systems (electric and hydraulic), suspension components, axles, hubs, and hitches.

Structural Diagnostics:

Inspect incoming trailers for frame damage, wear, and safety hazards; outline necessary repair scope and materials.

Quality & Safety:

Perform pre-delivery safety inspections on all completed jobs to ensure adherence to company standards and road safety regulations. Qualifications & Skills Experience in trailer repair, metal fabrication, or heavy equipment service. Proficient in MIG welding (steel required; aluminum experience preferred); comfortable reading blueprints and shop drawings. Solid understanding of 12V electrical systems, trailer axle assemblies, and brake setups. Own basic hand/power tools (specialized shop equipment provided). Valid driver's license and physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, and work in shop environments.
