In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will drive customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your auto service management skills, sales acumen, and technical understanding to contribute to a thriving automotive environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests Write detailed repair orders and estimates using estimating software, ensuring clarity and transparency for customers Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs needed, and estimated timeframes Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining integrity and trust Manage all aspects of service writing, including collision repair estimates, oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspension work, and transmission repairs Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently Maintain thorough records of client interactions, vehicle histories, and service recommendations Assist with shop cleanliness and routinely pick up/organize shop, parts, tools, equipment Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive service writer or similar support role Mechanical knowledge is preferred Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and various vehicle systems such as brakes, shocks & struts, and transmissions Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritizing customer needs and satisfaction Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; previous dealership experience is highly desirable Join our team to be part of a vibrant environment where your automotive expertise makes a real difference! Pay:
