Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role requires proficiency in mechanical repairs, electrical systems, powertrain components, and alignment services. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and excellent service. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues. Perform repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Perform wheel alignments and ADAS calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive systems accurately. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to customers. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance. Experience Prior dealership or service technician experience preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Experience working with GM vehicles is a plus. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, schematics reading, and auto estimating software is advantageous. Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment tools. Service technician experience demonstrating customer service skills is highly valued. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
