ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to support aircraft electrical installation, modification, testing, troubleshooting, and harness assembly activities in Mojave, CA. The technician will work from engineering drawings and work instructions to install, wire, test, troubleshoot, and modify electrical systems and components on aircraft.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install and wire terminal boards. Fabricate and install electrical cable harnesses on aircraft and other platforms. Terminate various types of aircraft electrical connectors. Perform continuity checks on wiring, connectors, and aircraft components. Perform power-on and operational checks of electrical systems. Install and troubleshoot aircraft electrical cables and harnesses with minimal supervision. Perform on-aircraft and in-shop testing of electrical components and systems. Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot and verify system operation. Read and interpret electrical installation and manufacturing engineering drawings. Document redline changes to engineering drawings. Use basic hand tools and aircraft electrical modification tools. Perform soldering and crimping. Assist with or lead electrical cable and harness assembly installations when required. Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, safety requirements, and established procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years of experience performing electronic and electrical modifications or installations on military and/or commercial FAA aircraft. Experience with aircraft electrical wiring, cable/harness installation, or electrical modifications. Ability to read and interpret electrical installation and manufacturing engineering drawings. Experience with basic hand tools and aircraft electrical modification tools. Experience with soldering and crimping. Ability to perform continuity, power-on, and operational checks. Ability to troubleshoot aircraft electrical cables, harnesses, components, and systems. High School Diploma required; technical school training through military or commercial programs preferred. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position pursuant to a government contract.
