The Work You Will Own:

As an Avionics Technician with us, you will work on a variety of general aviation single and twin-engine piston and turbine aircraft. Our in-house process promotes a rewarding work experience where you will guide each upgrade from concept to completion:

Design & Fab:

Produce custom panel designs using AutoCAD. Fabricate instrument panels utilizing our in-house Panel Pro CNC router.

Precision Metalwork:

Prep panels (drilling, countersinking, thread tapping, and riveting)

Panel Finish:

Utilize our in-house equipment for powder-coating and engraving.

Harness & Airframe Integration:

Interpret wiring diagrams, build custom wiring harnesses, remove or interface with legacy equipment, and install the latest generation Garmin suites.

System Calibration & Certification:

Perform avionics setup and calibration. Conduct

FAR 91.411 & 91.413

certifications using pitot/static and transponder test equipment.

Documentation & Delivery:

Calculate weight & balance data and prepare documentation packages (Form 337s, flight manual supplements, logbook entries, and wiring diagrams) to deliver a turnkey aircraft back to the client.

What We Look For:

The Ideal Candidate:

In-depth, practical knowledge of avionics retrofits in general aviation single/twin piston or turbine aircraft (experience with Garmin systems is highly valued).

Certifications:

An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and/or an NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification are highly preferred, though a proven track record of craftsmanship is our highest priority. An Eye for

General Qualifications:

Must be able to pass FAA/DOT drug and alcohol pre-employment and random screening. Our company has a zero-tolerance policy. Removes and installs avionics equipment, electrical components, aircraft interiors, and other aircraft components. Fabricates wire harnesses, performs terminations, troubleshoots installations, and completes functional testing of avionics and electrical systems. Works on a variety of aircraft from the smallest single piston to twin-turbine aircraft, including an occasional helicopter or experimental aircraft. Work in potentially uncomfortable positions and/or confined spaces. Candidate must have SOME of the following

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS.

Must be familiar with the tools and methods of aircraft maintenance with piston/turbine single/twin aircraft. Avionics installation experience. Gamin installation experience is highly desired. Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification, Airframe & Power plant Certificate, and

FCC GROL

are all desirable. Wire harness fabrication experience including connector build-up and wire terminations. Understanding of avionics components and system integration is desirable. Product knowledge and installation experience with Garmin and other manufacturers, including; EFIS displays, WAAS GPS navigators, VHF com/nav, autopilot, airborne weather

RADAR, RS-232, ARINC 429, CAN

bus, HSDB, etc. Experience with Engine Information Systems (EIS) and engine monitor systems from J P Instruments, Garmin, Dynon, and Electronic International. Knowledge of legacy avionics such as Bendix/King, autopilots, etc. is also desirable AutoCAD and Panel Pro experience is a plus Metal fabrication techniques as they apply to avionics installation. (Sheet metal foot shear, sheet metal brake, riveting, corrosion mitigation, etc.) Private Pilot license is a plus. FOD Foreign Object Damage and tool control. ESD Electrostatic Sensitive Devices Human factors. Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145 et. al.
