Aircraft Electrician
I & II - C-130J
| Crestview, FL We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Electrician I & II to join our team in Crestview, FL supporting C-130J aircraft modification and installation programs. This is a full-time contract position working a 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour days per week) onsite. What You'll Do You will be responsible for installing and modifying electrical harnesses and components, routing, terminating, and testing wire and cable assemblies on C-130J aircraft.
Daily work includes:
Install, route, terminate, and test electrical cables and harnesses including Fiber Optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, and Ethernet cables Remove and reinstall aircraft components as required Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, routing drawings, and harness assembly drawings Read and apply manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical specifications Operate hand tools, power tools, work stands, and calibrated test equipment Maintain a clean, FOD-free work area and follow all safety protocols Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials per government regulations Level I Requirements 2+ years of aircraft electrical experience USAF 5-Level (Journeyman) or equivalent Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance US Citizen required Level II Requirements 4+ years of avionics experience USAF 7-Level (Craftsman) or equivalent Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance US Citizen required Preferred Qualifications Heavy avionics/electrical wire routing and installation experience Military or commercial aircraft modification experience including wire harness installation and checkout Experience on C-130J aircraft
