The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and repairing avionic equipment in aircraft. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic systems, aviation standards, and FAA regulations. Responsibilities Install Garmin avionics systems and equipment in accordance with specifications and procedures. Test installed Garmin equipment for potential problems or errors. Troubleshoot and repair faulty Garmin avionic equipment. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety procedures. Document and maintain installation and repair records. Consult and coordinate with aircraft engineers to solve avionics system-related issues. Conduct regular maintenance checks on avionics systems to ensure they are working correctly and safely. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools or soldering irons. Update management about the status of repair work and any potential delays. Requirements Minimum 3 years installation experience. Solid knowledge of electrical systems and avionics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Understanding of FAA regulations and aviation standards. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and aircraft engineers. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred/Required Qualifications:
Certification in avionics or a related field. A & P Certification highly preferred FCC License required Experience with other avionics systems and equipment. Familiarity with modern avionics technology and advancements.
