Responsibilities Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, suspension servicing, gear tuning, and wheel truing to ensure optimal performance. Conduct symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized mechanical systems repair equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble bicycles. Assist customers with bicycle assembly, maintenance advice, and product recommendations to enhance their cycling experience. Manage retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining accurate inventory records. Support maintenance work on store equipment and ensure all tools and work areas are kept safe and organized. Engage with customers professionally to provide exceptional service, answer questions about bicycle features, and promote cycling products. Qualifications At least 1 year of experience Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic within the bicycle or vehicle maintenance industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in bicycle repair, suspension systems, brake repair, and mechanical assembly. Familiarity with symptom-based diagnosis techniques and mechanical systems repair methods. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment efficiently and safely. Experience with retail sales processes, POS systems, retail math, and customer service excellence. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform maintenance work that requires manual dexterity. Knowledge of cycling products and enthusiasm for the cycling community is highly desirable.
