Overview Join our dynamic team as a Bicycle Mechanic/Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional cycling experiences! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of bicycles and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure every bike leaves our shop in top condition, ready to hit the road or trail with confidence. We're looking for a motivated individual who loves cycling, excels in mechanical troubleshooting, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, suspension servicing, gear tuning, and mechanical assembly Conduct symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to repair and maintain bicycles and related mechanical systems Assist customers with bike maintenance advice, product recommendations, and retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems Manage bicycle assembly from new parts or frames to ensure proper fit, safety, and performance Perform maintenance work on bicycles such as wheel truing, drivetrain cleaning, and suspension servicing to optimize riding quality Handle heavy lifting of bikes and parts safely while adhering to safety standards Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process Qualifications Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic or service technician with strong mechanical knowledge Familiarity with suspension systems, brake repair, and symptom-based diagnosis techniques Hands-on experience with vehicle or machinery maintenance work using hand tools and power tools Ability to perform bicycle assembly, repair, and maintenance efficiently in a retail setting Knowledge of retail sales processes including POS systems and retail math skills for transactions Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform maintenance tasks that require manual dexterity Experience with maintenance, repair operations, cycling products, and mechanical systems repair is highly desirable Embark on a fulfilling career where your mechanical expertise fuels the joy of cycling for countless enthusiasts!
