A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Talento Search Group has an opening for a Maintenance Technician in the Alabaster, Alabama area. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is $27-33 per hour, depending on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems Install, troubleshoot and repair equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools and production machines Troubleshoot and repair damaged or faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery Clean and adjust air tools and power tools Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment Perform preventive maintenance Fabricate parts Perform some plumbing repairs
Experience Needed:
At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience HS Diploma or GED Strong mechanical skill-sets including pneumatics and hydraulics Experience with manual lathes, manual mills, and CNC equipment is helpful Experience with basic wire welding is preferred Ability to work overtime as needed
