Summary:
We're looking for a hard-working handyman to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for handling whatever basic repair and maintenance tasks require attention within the client's building and its compound. You'll also identify repair needs and service facility equipment and fixtures. To do well in this position, you will need to be capable of completing most basic maintenance and repair tasks without any supervision. That means you must be comfortable with using a wide variety of hand and power tools to complete your delegated tasks. The ideal candidate for this role must possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, skillful hands, and good physical stamina. A handyperson handles simple maintenance and repair projects. Clients may request their services when an appliance or structure needs repairs or maintenance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: Conducting routine facility inspections to identify any issues that need repair or maintenance. Carrying out routine or minor repair and maintenance tasks. Resolving minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing clogged pipes, or replacing AC filters. Handling carpentry jobs, such as installing furniture or repairing doors. Handling odd jobs around the facility. Completing outdoor improvements, such as cleaning gutters, fixing fences and repairing cracks in sidewalks, driveways and parking areas Improving a structure's appearance by painting, staining, sealing and varnishing Assembling furniture, appliances and electronics Installing shelving, whiteboards, artwork and blinds Repair and maintain plumbing and electrical systems Perform simple repairs on company appliances, machines, and equipment Assist with the cleaning and remodeling of shared spaces Oversee the maintenance of various devices and appliances Consult with clients to ensure they're taking care of their space to the best of their abilities Using various hand and power tools without supervision. Detecting and reporting major maintenance or repair needs. Performing routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC system inspections Updating work order tickets with notes Provide support and guidance on maintaining equipment. Keeping tools, equipment and supplies organized and accurately inventoried Managing an accurate inventory of repair supplies and maintenance equipment to ensure that all stocks are replenished on time. Keeping an accurate record of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.Key Responsibilities Plumbing:
Fix leaky faucets, clear clogged drains, and repair minor pipe issues.Electrical:
Replace lightbulbs, switches, socket outlets, and light fixtures.Carpentry:
Assemble furniture, build or repair shelves, and fix doors or windows.Painting & Drywall:
Patch holes, paint interior and exterior surfaces, and fill gaps.General Maintenance:
Clean gutters, check safety systems, and maintain outdoor areas.Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a similar role Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems Basic understanding of how plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems function and best practices for repairing them Ability to complete a wide array of repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision Physical ability to remain standing for the majority of your shift A working knowledge of common hardware tools and power equipment Knowledge of the parts and operation of commonly used fixtures, such as lights, faucets, toilets, outlets, water heaters, air conditioners, furnaces and thermostats Good communication skills Attention to detail Excellent problem-solving abilitiesPhysical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Manual dexterity and precision in the use of hand and power tools. Good balance, stamina, and strength for prolonged physical labor. Ability to work in awkward positions or tight spaces. Must be able to climb ladders or work at height. Schedule Monday to Friday but may require weekends Pay Range of $20.00-23.00 per hour. Shift time 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (8 hours 1 hour lunch) subject to change.Job Types:
