Commercial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and versatile Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing a variety of commercial maintenance, repair, and construction-related tasks and be capable of completing assigned work independently. This is a hands-on, field-based position involving work at various commercial properties and job sites. Responsibilities may vary from day to day depending on project and site needs, so candidates should be comfortable working across multiple trades and handling a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can identify and address basic maintenance and repair needs, follows directions, and can complete assigned projects efficiently with minimal supervision. The right candidate will be reliable, professional, safety-conscious, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This position requires travel to various job sites and availability to work nights and weekends when required based on project and job-site needs. Responsibilities
  • Perform general commercial building maintenance, repairs, and construction-related work
  • Complete drywall installation, patching, repair, and finishing
  • Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, and surface preparation
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, fixtures, toilets, drains, and minor leaks
  • Perform carpentry work, including installation and repair of doors, frames, hardware, trim, shelving, and other building components
  • Install, repair, and replace ceiling tiles and grid components
  • Perform flooring installation and minor flooring repairs as assigned
  • Assemble, install, repair, and replace commercial fixtures and equipment
  • Perform demolition and removal of existing materials as required for projects
  • Perform pressure washing and general exterior property maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and identify basic building maintenance and repair issues
  • Complete assigned maintenance and repair work independently with minimal supervision
  • Assist with commercial remodels, tenant improvements, repairs, and other construction-related projects
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment required for assigned work
  • Load, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Properly maintain and care for company tools, equipment, and materials
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, materials needed, and issues encountered
  • Travel to various commercial properties and job sites as assigned
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and job-site safety requirements
  • Perform other maintenance, repair, construction, and general labor duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on commercial maintenance, construction, or related trade experience preferred
  • Experience performing a variety of commercial building maintenance, repair, and construction-related tasks
  • Working knowledge of drywall, painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and general building repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic building maintenance and repair issues
  • Ability to complete assigned maintenance and repair work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to safely and properly operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for assigned work
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete work according to project requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry 100+ pounds as required to perform job duties
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites as required
  • Must be willing and available to work nights and weekends when required based on project and job-site needs
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements
  • Must have valid authorization to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination
  • Must demonstrate dependable attendance, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

Employees must be able to report to assigned commercial properties and job sites and travel to different locations as required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. References required when submitting resume.

$27.00 - $35.00 per hour
