This is a temp-to-hire position paying $23.50-$35.50/hr depending on experience. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment — including PLC-controlled systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, AC/DC motor drives, and HVAC — to keep production running and minimize downtime. This is a long-term placement opportunity with a well-established food production operation.

Food Production Facility Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on plant equipment, including wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives. Electronically troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-controlled equipment and 24V control circuits using installed PLC software. Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and log work in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Perform building maintenance and repairs including air conditioning, lighting, and forklifts. Fabricate replacement parts or temporary repairs to prevent long-term production downtime. Report food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel and comply with all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements. Minimum Requirements 2-year degree in electronics or maintenance mechanics, OR 5+ years of hands-on experience in a maintenance mechanic role. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PLC programming or troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Experience with CMMS platforms for work order tracking and preventive maintenance scheduling. Stick and TIG welding skills, including ability to weld to sanitary standards. Familiarity with boiler operations and/or ammonia, Freon, or other refrigerant/cooling systems. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting. Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic systems in a manufacturing or production environment. Working knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) safety procedures.
