Job DescriptionThe Service & Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This role supports uptime, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across advanced equipment and facilities.

Job DescriptionThe Service & Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This role supports uptime, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across advanced equipment and facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and automated systemsTroubleshoot and repair equipment failures using diagnostic tools and root-cause analysisSupport installation, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment and systemsMonitor system performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiencyCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues and implement process improvementsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Support continuous improvement initiatives (SQCDP) to reduce downtime and operating costsMaintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for service and repairsLight Fabricating and/or machining fixturing Keeping workspace clean (Shop/Trash cans/Fab room) Assist in supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and Skill Requirements:
Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical is preferred4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech environmentsKnowledge of mechanical systems: couplings, alignments, vibration, pumpsKnowledge of electrical systems: VFD troubleshooting, AC motors, sensors, and control systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manualsExperience with automated systems preferredProficiency in using diagnostic toolsFluency in the English language is requiredStrong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills requiredAble to relay technical information in a way your audience understandsConsistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the jobProficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work areaStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsHigh attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsStrong communication and documentation skillsAdaptability in a fast-paced, high-tech environmentExperience in the automotive testing and validation industry preferredStrong time management, multi-tasking, and organization skillsAble to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goalsConsistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulationsSelf-starter, who can multi-task and possess strong communication skillsValid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:
