Shift:
1st Shift, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM for training. After the initial 3-month training period, the position will transition to a rotational shift schedule based on business needs. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Duties Provides maintenance support in all production areas - packaging, cracker, roasters, butter, pasteurizer, inshell and sorting. Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor to develop preventative maintenance programs and procedures to reduce mechanical downtime. Maintain communications, oral and written, with maintenance/production team ensuring smooth shift transitions and accurately preparing work orders for equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment and new equipment installations. Proactive and accurate reporting of equipment breakage, maintenance requirements, and errors. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor. Updating and completing the required limble work order documentation of performed maintenance, labor hours, and parts used. Basic computer skills to be able to update PM's and run or revise reports. Able to prioritize tasks in an efficient manner while understanding the urgency needed to complete tasks that interrupt operations. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment. Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators. As applicable refer to blueprints and manufacturer's manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery. Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas. Maintain a collaborative relationship with other departments and co-workers. Promote and maintain a positive and respectful work environment. Follows and ensures adherence to established Grower Direct Nut Co., local, state, and federal regulations and requirements as well as safety, food safety, sanitation, food production and nutritional guidelines. Other duties as required by management.

Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, automation controls, lasers, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery. Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills. Experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electrical schematics is a plus. Self-motivated, detail oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual is a plus. Demonstrated work history. Able to evaluate a situation and make good decisions. Able to work well with a team and individually. Able to take directions as needed from management. Must have a valid CA driver license without restrictions.
