Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities and Building Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems, equipment, and facilities. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, responds to service requests, and coordinates with outside vendors and contractors to ensure facility needs are met. Your expertise will help ensure our operations run smoothly while supporting a safe and productive environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on building systems and equipment. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems. Troubleshoot maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with outside vendors and contractors as needed. Assist in managing and overseeing contractors performing maintenance, service, renovation, or construction work. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies. Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories. Monitor building and grounds conditions and recommend repairs or improvements. Support regulatory compliance, safety inspections, and testing requirements. Maintain inventories of tools, supplies, and spare parts. Assist with facility improvement, installation, and renovation projects. Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations. Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, contractors, and management regarding maintenance activities. Qualifications Technical training or experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or related fields. OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification preferred. Knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance tracking systems preferred. Valid driver's license preferred. Reporting Relationship Reports to the Operations Manager. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access confined or hard-to-reach areas. Working Conditions Work is performed in office, industrial, warehouse, and outdoor environments. The position may involve exposure to building system hazards, varying weather conditions, and emergency response situations.Hourly rate:
