12-month contract with possible extensions or permanency based on performance

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a business facilities environment in Menlo Park, CA. This position is responsible for maintaining building facilities, HVAC systems, utilities, and related equipment to provide a safe, efficient, compliant, and comfortable workplace. The ideal candidate has hands-on facilities maintenance experience in a GMP-regulated environment and experience supporting cleanroom operations . Candidates with backgrounds in pharmaceutical, medical device, hospital, biotechnology, semiconductor, or other highly regulated facilities environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building facilities and equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on: HVAC systems Compressed air systems DI/RO water systems Electrical systems Plumbing systems Other facility equipment and utilities Maintain and support cleanroom facilities and associated systems . Perform maintenance activities in accordance with GMP requirements, ISO standards, established SOPs, and site procedures . Complete and document work orders accurately within computerized maintenance systems. Follow applicable GMP change-control/change-management processes . Assist with the relocation and installation of equipment and furniture. Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary. Manage facility repair and improvement projects from initiation through completion. Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors performing facility work. Ensure maintenance activities are properly documented and completed in accordance with quality and compliance requirements. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. Participate in the site's on-call rotation as required. Perform other facilities-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1-2+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Hands-on experience maintaining or supporting cleanroom environments . Working knowledge of GMP practices, work-order processes, change-control procedures, and ISO standards. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting building systems such as HVAC, compressed air, DI/RO water, electrical, and plumbing. Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Experience documenting maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance/work-order system (CMMS) . Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word . Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, repairs, and facility improvement projects. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while following established safety, quality, and compliance procedures. Ability to work the second-shift schedule after training and participate in on-call coverage.
Preferred Background:
Experience in one or more of the following environments is highly desirable: Pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing Medical device manufacturing Hospitals or healthcare facilities Semiconductor manufacturing Cleanroom operations Other GMP, ISO, or highly regulated facilities environments
USOPS Pay:
$37.00 - $39.35 per hour
