High school diploma or GED Food industry Food safety Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform systematic preventive maintenance and support daily manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for performing general repairs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently to support production demands. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime. Follow preventative maintenance schedule. Troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with Cal OSHA safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (MaintainX) to track maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory. Oversee contractors on site when professional repairs are needed. Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency. Conduct equipment inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements. Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to SQF and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) principles. General facilities maintenance and repairs Skills & Experience Basic mechanical and troubleshooting experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of Cal OSHA regulations and safety compliance. Experience with HMI, boilers, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment (highly preferred).
