CaliWave Pools
Pool Service Technician
Entry-Level JobVerifiedNo experience needed
Job Description
Three-day weekends, every week. Company truck provided. CaliWave Pools is a local pool and spa service company serving Oxnard, Camarillo, Ventura, and Somis. Our customers pay for service done right, not a quick in-and-out, and we've built our reputation on showing up consistently, doing thorough work, and treating every property like it matters. We're looking for a technician who takes the same pride in their work. The Schedule Tuesday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm. The schedule is set and doesn't change week to week, so you always know when you work and when you're off. If you want a steady routine and a real three-day weekend, this is it. We also give you Thanksgiving week and Christmas week off, paid, so you get real time with your family during the holidays. How We Pay Starting pay is $20 an hour, plus a bonus based on the work you do. Techs who do good, consistent work typically earn around $25 an hour with bonuses. Your hourly pay is steady no matter what, and the bonus is extra on top. We pay by the hour, not per pool. We know how long a pool should take when it's done right, and we give you enough work to fill your day. You won't be rushing to make money, and you won't be sitting around waiting for work. If you're used to per-pool pay and like racing through stops, this probably isn't the right fit, and that's okay. What the Job Looks Like You'll run a route of 14-17 stops a day in a company truck: brushing, skimming, vacuuming, cleaning baskets and filters, testing and balancing water chemistry, and keeping an eye on equipment so small problems get caught early. No need to use your own vehicle or pay for gas on the job. Trucks stay at the yard at the end of the day. You'll also talk with customers, so a friendly, professional attitude matters. This work happens outdoors, year-round. Rain, sun, heat, and cold. You'll need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable on your feet all day. Training No pool experience? We'll teach you if you're willing to learn. New techs typically train for 3-4 weeks riding along with an experienced technician before running a route on their own. Experienced techs are welcome too, as long as you're open to doing things the CaliWave way. What We Expect Once you're trained, you'll have a lot of independence on your route. That freedom only works with people who are dependable, so we're looking for someone who: Shows up on time, every day, ready to work Takes ownership of their route and their results without needing someone looking over their shoulder Looks, speaks, and acts professionally in front of customers (we provide your work shirts) Is a self-starter who wants to get better at their craft Requirements Valid California driver's license and clean driving record Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather Reliable, responsible, and professional Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required Why CaliWave $20/hour starting pay with bonuses that typically bring techs to around $25/hour, a company truck, a set 4-day schedule with three-day weekends, paid Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks off, paid training, and a company that values doing the job right over doing it fast. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply through Indeed, and tell us a little about yourself and why this job fits you.
