Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Maintenance Engineer Fairfield Inn & Suites Medford - 3.3 Redding, CA Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Pool maintenance High school diploma or GED Cleaning Mechanical troubleshooting Woodworking Full Job Description Position Summary The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical facilities, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and associates. This position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and routine inspections while ensuring compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Complete routine inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, laundry, and mechanical systems. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and work orders. Repairs and Troubleshooting Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
Diagnose and repair issues involving:
HVAC systems Plumbing fixtures and water systems Electrical systems and lighting Appliances and equipment Doors, locks, and hardware Painting, drywall, and carpentry Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, fire safety regulations, and local building codes. Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards immediately. Assist with emergency situations including power outages, equipment failures, and weather-related incidents. Maintain proper storage and handling of maintenance supplies, chemicals, and tools. Guest Service Provide courteous and professional service to guests while completing repairs. Respond promptly to guest concerns and maintenance issues. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Property Appearance Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel, including common areas, exterior grounds, parking lots, and landscaping. Support room renovation projects and capital improvement initiatives as directed. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to respond to emergency situations and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
