Possible Temp-to-Hire Join Our Maintenance Team! We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills and can quickly diagnose equipment issues to keep production running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service according to equipment manufacturer guidelines Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on production equipment Diagnose causes of unexpected equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime Dismantle, clean, adjust, repair, lubricate, and reinstall machine components Use electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and testing equipment to diagnose problems Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures Order, install, and replace defective or worn parts Document maintenance activities, repairs, troubleshooting, and work performed Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with management and production Collaborate with production managers and plant engineers on equipment modifications and new products Set up and break down food processing equipment as required Maintain tools, parts, supplies, and maintenance areas in an organized condition Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing repairs, clearing blocked drains, replacing lamps/ballasts, and minor remodeling Support production and maintenance teams in identifying equipment, tooling, process, and quality issues Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment; food manufacturing preferred Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience Experience with boiler equipment Knowledge of food or chemical processing, GMPs, and clean-design principles Familiarity with batch and continuous processing, filtration, extraction, and product packaging Knowledge of food safety programs such as SQF and Kosher High school diploma or GED Knowledge of single
- and three-phase electrical systems , AC/DC, and high
- and low-voltage systems Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools Experience with computerized maintenance/work order systems; E-Maintenance experience preferred Ability to work 2nd shift, off-shifts, and weekends as needed Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety and health policies and procedures Participate in the company's safety program Follow OSHA and workplace safety requirements Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or illnesses immediately Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and tools Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area Physical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and use ladders Perform various types of manual labor Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds Work around hot and cold temperatures Work in wet conditions as required Interested?
