Pueblo Athletic Club is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Facilities Technician to help maintain our fitness facility, pools, fitness equipment, building systems, and grounds. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing problems, working independently, and taking pride in keeping a facility operating at a high level. We are hiring two part-time Facilities Technicians who will work collaboratively and share responsibility for the overall maintenance and condition of the facility. Both positions have the same responsibilities and expectations. What You'll Do The Facilities Technician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and general facility upkeep throughout Pueblo Athletic Club.
Responsibilities include:
Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the facility Troubleshoot and complete general building repairs Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on fitness equipment Assist with maintenance of pool mechanical systems, pumps, filters, and related equipment Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues and perform routine maintenance such as filter replacement Perform minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs within demonstrated competency Replace light bulbs, fixtures, switches, outlets, and other facility components as appropriate Repair doors, locks, hardware, lockers, restroom fixtures, and furnishings Complete minor drywall, painting, caulking, carpentry, and general repair projects Inspect mechanical rooms and building systems Perform routine facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance or safety concerns before they become larger problems Respond to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Track parts, supplies, and materials needed for repairs Keep maintenance areas, tools, and mechanical rooms clean and organized Assist with seasonal maintenance and special facility projects Communicate facility concerns and recommended repairs to management Coordinate with outside contractors when repairs require specialized or licensed service Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded maintenance professional who can look at a problem, troubleshoot it, and determine the appropriate next step. You do not need to be an expert in every trade. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working across many different types of facility maintenance. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in building, commercial, apartment, hotel, school, recreation, industrial, or facility maintenance Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience using common hand and power tools Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems Ability to perform general repairs independently Experience maintaining fitness equipment is a plus Pool or aquatic facility maintenance experience is a plus Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests Strong communication and documentation skills Dependable attendance and ability to work independently Willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment and systems Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on maintenance position.
Candidates must be able to:
Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb Safely use ladders and common maintenance equipment Lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds Work in mechanical rooms, pool areas, outdoors, and throughout a large fitness facility Safely perform physical maintenance tasks for extended periods Schedule This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20-24 hours per week . Compensation $22.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
