Job Title:
Commercial Facilities Technician (Mobile) Job Description The Commercial Facilities Technician (Mobile) performs general maintenance and repair services across multiple commercial properties. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems, minor construction and repair work, and coordination of on-site vendors to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-presented for occupants and visitors. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Manage, prioritize, and complete maintenance work orders accurately, thoroughly, and within required timeframes. Execute minor carpentry tasks, including repairs to walls, doors, and trim, as well as painting and touch-ups to maintain a professional appearance. Conduct basic electrical repairs such as lighting maintenance, fixture replacement, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues. Perform basic plumbing repairs, including addressing leaks, clogs, and minor fixture replacements. Inspect and maintain roofs, identifying issues early and performing minor roof repairs as needed to prevent leaks and damage. Oversee exterior maintenance activities such as trash removal, sweeping, weed control, and upkeep of mulch beds to keep grounds clean and presentable. Coordinate and supervise on-site vendor activities and contractors, including landscaping, asphalt work, and sweeping, to ensure quality and timely completion of services. Ensure proper irrigation and upkeep of turf and plant areas, including monitoring watering systems and reporting or addressing issues promptly. Use hand tools and minor diagnostic or test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Interact professionally with tenants, clients, and building occupants, providing courteous customer service and timely communication regarding maintenance activities. Document work performed, materials used, and issues identified in work order systems to maintain accurate maintenance records. Travel between multiple commercial sites as needed, managing time and routes effectively to meet service commitments. Essential Skills 3-5 years of hands-on experience in light electrical work, plumbing, and general construction, including carpentry. Demonstrated experience in HVAC maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial systems. Proficiency in commercial door installation, maintenance, and repair. Experience with facilities maintenance, including mechanical systems and lighting maintenance. Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues. Universal EPA certification (EPA Universal). Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for working in customer-facing environments. Professional appearance and conduct when interacting with building occupants and clients. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation suitable for traveling between multiple job sites. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work safely on rooftops over two stories high. Proficiency in using hand tools and minor diagnostic or test equipment for maintenance and repair tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in commercial facilities or multi-site property maintenance environments. Familiarity with exterior maintenance tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, weed control, and landscape upkeep. Ability to coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and contractors on-site. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders and priorities across different locations. Attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities and ensuring work is completed to a high standard. Work Environment This role is mobile and customer facing within commercial buildings, requiring regular travel between multiple sites. The position involves frequent use of hand tools and minor diagnostic or test equipment, as well as routine physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, and accessing roofs. You will interact regularly with tenants, clients, and vendors in a professional setting, wearing company-provided uniforms and representing the organization on-site. The environment includes typical commercial building systems such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, and may involve working in varying weather conditions when performing exterior or roof-related tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Carmel, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00- $62400.
