Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our hotel facilities and ensuring all building systems and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is essential to providing an exceptional guest experience and requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot a wide variety of hotel maintenance issues. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, guestroom fixtures, swimming pool equipment, and electronic lock systems. Conduct quarterly preventative maintenance inspections in all guestrooms. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and complete timely repairs. Install, repair, and fabricate components as needed. Use testing equipment, including multimeters and ohmmeters, to diagnose and repair electrical systems. Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and help prevent equipment downtime. Work closely with the General Manager and Housekeeping Manager to ensure the hotel remains safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Qualifications Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Hotel Maintenance Technician, or in a similar maintenance role. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
