Job Description

Maintenance Technician Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain our apartment communities in a safe, clean, and professional manner. The ideal candidate is hands-on, takes pride in quality work, responds quickly to maintenance requests, and helps ensure residents have a positive living experience. Responsibilities Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner. Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, appliance, and carpentry repairs. Troubleshoot and repair common building systems. Turn vacant units, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and punch-out work. Conduct preventative maintenance on building equipment and common areas. Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls on a rotating schedule. Inspect the property regularly and identify maintenance or safety concerns. Keep accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Work with outside contractors when necessary. Ensure all work complies with company standards and applicable safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work vehicle. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, and general repairs. HVAC certification is preferred but not required. Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs independently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, kneeling, and working outdoors. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple work orders in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Paid holidays and paid time off.
