Job Description
Build It. Fix It. Improve It. Timberland Door Company is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, facility improvements, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout our growing manufacturing operation. This is not a desk job. We're looking for a working manager who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, repairing equipment, organizing facilities, and taking ownership of the overall condition and performance of a manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable troubleshooting CNC equipment, improving conveyor systems, coordinating facility repairs, managing maintenance inventory, and leading shop improvement projects. Primary Responsibilities Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Maintain CNC machinery, edge machines, saws, shapers, Timesavers, conveyors, lift tables, and production equipment Perform preventative maintenance and repairs Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues Coordinate outside service providers when required Maintain equipment records and service schedules Facility Maintenance Maintain building interior and exterior Repair walls, ceilings, lighting, doors, gates, and facility infrastructure Support HVAC, compressed air, dust collection, and electrical systems Maintain lunchroom, offices, shop areas, and grounds Continuous Improvement Projects Improve production flow and equipment layout Support conveyor installations and modifications Improve dust collection systems Support machine upgrades and shop improvements Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability Inventory & Parts Management Maintain critical spare parts inventory Manage maintenance supplies and consumables Track repair parts and vendor relationships Ensure critical production components are available when needed Safety & Shop Organization Maintain machine guards and safety systems Support OSHA compliance initiatives Maintain clean and organized work areas Identify and correct safety concerns Assist in developing maintenance checklists and procedures Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience Strong mechanical aptitude Experience with CNC machinery preferred Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and industrial systems Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to read technical drawings and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously What Success Looks Like Reduced equipment downtime Improved production uptime Organized maintenance systems Improved facility appearance Preventative maintenance programs in place Reduced emergency repairs Improved safety and housekeeping standards Why Timberland?
