This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment, including electronic systems, PLCs, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience, a strong understanding of safety procedures (including lockout/tagout and high-voltage systems), and the ability to respond to emergency maintenance needs across shifts. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring continuous production operations.
I. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Adhere to proper safety procedures during work, including wearing the prescribed safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed. 2. To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality products by means of being proficient at installing, servicing, repairing, inspecting, and programming of all Electronic Equipment, Programmable Controller, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical Portions of all Facility Equipment. This responsibility encompasses all production related and maintenance equipment, buildings, structures, plant vehicles, services and utilities for VAM. 3. To know and follow proper safety procedures including proper operation of equipment, working with primary high voltage and secondary distribution voltages, proper grounding of equipment, and lock out tag out procedures. 4. To order parts and necessary supplies to ensure continuous operation of company equipment. 5. To be able to make emergency calls on all shifts and the required overtime to maintain production efficiency. You must be able to communicate with outside contractors as necessary. 6. To know and follow all reliability procedures and process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate to the work being performed. 7. Neatly and accurately report work performed, findings or results of inspections, time, and materials used in the completion of assigned work. 8. Maintain the work area in a neat and clean condition and ensure that materials and tools are cleaned and returned to proper storage and all waste and debris removed upon completion of assigned work. 9. To perform his duties in such a manner as to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Manufacturing Facility. 10. To have basic understanding and capability to use computer and Microsoft office (word, excel).
II. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Five years' experience. 2. High school diploma or equivalent. 3. Good communication skills both verbal and written. 4. One year as Plant Maintenance.
Pay:
$27.00 - $31.00 per hour
