Maintenance Technician

What We're Looking For We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our Helen, Georgia area who has the ability to solve a variety of maintenance issues. The ideal candidate will be able to asses and fix a variety of common household issues, be able to prioritize tasks and service calls to various properties, and have a great attitude to work with the team and guests alike. This is a part-time position at first with competitive pay and mileage reimbursement. Hours are negotiable but approximately 18-25 hours per week. Weekends & On-Call required.
Service area is primarily:
Cleveland, GA; Helen, GA;
Sautee, GA General Maintenance/Repair/Troubleshooting:
Assess and fix a variety of household issues, and perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs to ensure all properties are in top condition.
Property Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs promptly, ensuring all equipment and facilities are functioning correctly.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and perform necessary repairs to mitigate guest inconvenience and property damage.
Communication:
Must have great interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with property management and housekeeping teams to coordinate maintenance tasks AND to help guests directly to providing excellent customer service while addressing their maintenance concerns professionally and efficiently.
Technology Utilization:
Use property management software and other technology tools to track maintenance requests, updates, and complete work orders. This role must utilize our systems to clock in/out, keep detailed records of repairs, submit milage, receipts, and expenses.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the maintenance & housekeeping teams and enhance guest experience. This role must be willing to pitch in to do the less desirable tasks AND respond promptly to after hours and weekend on-call requests. Skills You'll Need Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality/property management industry, making service calls, in construction or similar. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and general repair skills. Must have and maintain your own set of tools for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and guests professionally and clearly. Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment. Must have reliable transportation to travel between supply storage and properties in the Cleveland and Helen area daily. Comfortable using technology using spreadsheets, Google Drive, and Gmail. Able to learn new communication & property Management software for communication and task management. (We currently use Discord and BOOM) The ideal candidate will need to quickly become proficient with these programs. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds), standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. An offer of employment allows us to provide a successful completion of a background check.
