Job Description

Construction Resources is seeking a Garage Door Installer to join our construction team installing premium residential garage doors and openers across the Southeast. In this field-based role, you'll read work orders and plans, measure openings, and safely install doors, tracks, springs, and operators to manufacturer specs. You'll troubleshoot and repair existing systems, ensure code and safety compliance, and maintain tools and a company vehicle. You'll work closely with builders, designers, and homeowners, delivering reliable, high-quality service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Install residential garage doors, tracks, springs, and openers to manufacturer specifications Perform service, adjustments, and repairs on existing garage doors and openers Measure openings, verify site conditions, and prepare materials and hardware for each job Operate power and hand tools safely and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and lifting practices Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and site supervisors Document work performed, materials used, and any follow-up needs Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and sales to ensure accurate, on-time installs Inspect completed work for quality, function, and code/manufacturer compliance Support continuous improvement in field processes and customer satisfaction Required Skills Garage door installation Power and hand tool use Reading blueprints and specs Electrical wiring basics Mechanical troubleshooting Measuring and leveling Safety compliance (OSHA) Customer service Driving company vehicle Worksite documentation
