Job Description

Overview of Position:
Safely troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated automotive manufacturing cells. Work independently and as part of a team to improve operator/workstation workflow. Applicants must have electrical and mechanical skills, experience and knowledge. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing Maintenance support to safely achieve optimal levels of productivity and quality.
Responsibilities:
Position requires daily break down and troubleshooting. Will be fabricating metal welding project, running airline, electrical conduits install. Knowledge of tooling and how to modify tooling. Performing daily preventative maintenance tasks. Carryout faultfinding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas; Robotics, PLC's, Electrical Control Systems, Hydraulics and Pneumatics. Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities. Programming, fault diagnosis, servicing, and repair/ troubleshoot of robotics cells, laser cutting machines, rotary positioners and Mig spot welding equipment. Prepare technical reports to analyze breakdown causes and make recommendations on countermeasures. Support equipment commissioning and installation projects. Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times. May prepare and deliver training to others on areas of expertise. Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. This position will involve shift working, call outs and overtime working at short notice.
