$23/hour Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of an apartment community and its surrounding areas. This is a hands-on position requiring a broad range of maintenance skills, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout apartment units and common areas. Complete electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, and general repair work. Repair and maintain showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors. Prepare apartment units for new move-ins. Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems as needed. Schedule and complete preventative maintenance activities. Perform general grounds maintenance, including clean-up, sweeping, and light landscaping. Coordinate and complete special maintenance projects as directed. Respond to emergency maintenance needs as part of a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule. Travel to other properties within approximately 40 miles as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Working knowledge of general building maintenance and HVAC systems. Ability to use the necessary tools and equipment to complete assigned work. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Professional, courteous, and cooperative approach when interacting with residents, visitors, contractors, and coworkers. Ability and willingness to travel between properties as needed. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on problem solver who is comfortable tackling a variety of maintenance tasks. Someone with strong general maintenance skills, good communication, and the ability to prioritize and complete work independently will be successful in this role. #eli
