Job Description
Job Title Maintenance Technician Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the property through timely repairs, preventative maintenance, unit turns, and excellent customer service. This position plays a key role in ensuring residents have a safe, clean, and well-maintained community. Responsibilities Complete service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, painting, drywall, carpentry, and grounds maintenance Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins by completing unit turns and inspections Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage areas, and common areas Assist with maintaining property curb appeal and overall appearance Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed Identify safety hazards and report maintenance concerns to management Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and inventory Follow company policies, safety procedures, and Fair Housing guidelines Work collaboratively with office staff, vendors, and other team members Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary pay On-call bonus opportunities Paid time off and holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance Opportunities for advancement and training 401k matching Qualifications Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day Valid driver's license Preferred Skills Experience with apartment turns and work order systems Knowledge of safety procedures and building maintenance standards
