Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Staff member, where your skills and dedication will keep our buildings and equipment running smoothly. This vital role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment, applying your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building interior maintenance expertise to ensure safety, efficiency, and comfort for all occupants. You will be an essential part of maintaining high standards across our facilities, contributing to a well-functioning and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding and carpentry tasks for repairs or upgrades to building structures and interior fixtures. Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing problems, replacing parts, and performing system repairs to ensure climate control efficiency. Utilize hand tools and power tools for maintenance painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general facility upkeep. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues with electrical or mechanical systems. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents, ensuring their needs are met efficiently. Lead or assist in maintenance painting projects for residential or commercial interiors to uphold aesthetic standards. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with operational procedures. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role involving repair and operations (MRO). Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plumbing system maintenance and repair. Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical circuits, wiring, schematics interpretation, and electrical equipment repair. Familiarity with HVAC system repair, including diagnosing issues with heating/cooling units and performing necessary repairs or replacements. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; experience with welding is a plus. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous for troubleshooting automated systems. Experience working with building interior maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting (including residential painting), plumbing, and general facilities upkeep. Leadership qualities to coordinate tasks independently or assist team members as needed. Proficiency in English for clear communication with team members and stakeholders.
