Job Title:

General Maintenance Technician $33 Job Description Responsibilities Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals and groups, both verbally and in writing, including customers, suppliers, and associates. Complete work orders, maintenance records, logs, and other written or computer-based documentation accurately and in accordance with established procedures. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment following defined procedures. Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment safely and in compliance with company guidelines. Clean and maintain facility grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building areas, including bathrooms, plumbing fixtures, painting, and drywall repairs. Assist other maintenance technicians with the repair and maintenance of equipment, providing support and sharing knowledge as needed. Troubleshoot basic equipment problems where the repair is visible or obvious, and take appropriate corrective action. Follow safety protocols when working with substances that require special handling and when operating in areas with varying temperatures, heights, and noise levels. Work effectively across different indoor and outdoor environments, including narrow, elevated, or enclosed spaces, and on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Support overall facility reliability by identifying maintenance needs, reporting issues promptly, and helping to prevent equipment downtime. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience repairing or maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting, OR 2 years of related vocational training. Hands-on mechanical repair and maintenance skills, including working with lift trucks, material handling equipment, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems. Basic electrical maintenance and repair capabilities for electronic and electrical equipment. Facility and building maintenance experience, including plumbing, painting, drywall repair, and general building upkeep. Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established procedures and schedules. Competence in operating material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment safely. Strong attention to detail when completing work orders, records, logs, and computer-based documentation. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with associates, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues where the repair is visible or straightforward. Capability to work safely in environments with varying temperatures, heights, noise levels, and on uneven or slippery surfaces. Why Work Here? Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
