Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician /
Mechanic Location:
Kenosha, WI Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, and executing preventative maintenance tasks for production equipment, building systems, and facility grounds. Working under general supervision, the technician resolves most problems independently or with minor supervisory assistance while adhering to the company's Six Sigma principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Preventative & Corrective Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) routines and complete basic-to-advanced machinery repairs.
Electrical Systems:
Perform electrical wiring and troubleshoot existing systems, including 480V / 240V, 3-phase, and single-phase circuits. (Arc Flash training is a plus).
Plumbing & Piping:
Repair and install plumbing infrastructure, including black pipe threading, copper pipe sweating, and PVC.
Fluid Power Systems:
Install, service, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic pumps, valves, and cylinders.
Production Equipment Support:
Maintain and troubleshoot heavy manufacturing machinery, including CNC-operated machines, press brakes, turret presses, and lasers.
Facility Support:
Fix lighting, resolve building water issues, maintain air compressors, and manage hoists and rigging equipment.
Engineering Collaboration:
Assist Manufacturing Engineering with developing equipment, tooling, and utility rearrangement projects.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, utilize shop tools safely, and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
Fabrication:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical diagrams to fabricate or modify parts using general shop equipment. Preferred Technical Competencies Troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Direct experience maintaining CNC machines and metal fabrication equipment (Press Brakes, Lasers, Turret Presses) Basic knowledge of air compressor and industrial HVAC systems Familiarity with overhead crane operation, inspection, and maintenance
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
3 or more years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; related technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
Licenses:
Valid driver's license and forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain).
Work Ethic:
High self-motivation, capability to work with little to no supervision in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and a strong attendance record.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Physical Exertion:
Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, occasional lifting up to 75-100 lbs with assistance. Regular standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and working at heights up to 30 feet using proper fall protection.
Environment:
Metal fabrication and assembly shop setting, involving exposure to moving mechanical parts, heavy materials, and varying indoor/outdoor temperatures.
PPE Required:
Safety glasses, steel-toe safety shoes, gloves, and other protective gear as designated.
Pay:
$24.50 - $34.00 per hour
