Overview Join our dynamic team as a Weekend Maintenance Person dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This energetic role offers the opportunity to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, from electrical repairs to plumbing, carpentry, HVAC system servicing, and facilities equipment maintenance. You will play a vital part in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building interior systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other hand tools to ensure optimal functionality. Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection and pipe repairs. Carry out carpentry tasks such as maintenance painting, drywall repairs, door adjustments, and other woodworking projects. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems and ensure proper functioning of building management systems. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance. Supervise or assist with projects involving welding, electrical work, HVAC system repair, or other specialized trades as needed. Maintain facilities equipment by performing inspections, repairs, and preventive measures to minimize downtime. Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests while maintaining a positive attitude. Follow safety protocols diligently when working with electrical equipment, plumbing systems, or during construction activities such as carpentry or welding. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, or mechanical systems. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures for various building systems. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and specialized equipment like ohmmeters. Knowledge of CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance schedules is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform residential painting and general carpentry tasks effectively. Supervisory experience is a plus—able to oversee small teams or coordinate projects efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience ensures comprehensive problem-solving skills.
